The History of Fire Prevention Week explains why the week in which "October 9th" occurs, is set aside as...

"National Fire Prevention Week"

During this week, National attention is given to promoting Fire Safety and Education, However...

"Fire Takes No Holiday". What we learn needs to be "practiced", All Year Long

Fire Prevention Education is one of the most rewarding programs you could participate in, whether you are a resident, child or parent, teacher or firefighter. Once a fire starts... there's no time to develop a plan! The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) estimates that approximately 80 percent of all fire deaths in the United States and Canada occur in the Home. Roughly 11 people per day, die in home fires in the U.S and Canada. Many lives can be saved if people react immediately when a fire alarm sounds. Once a fire starts, there's no time to develop a plan. Be prepared always have a escape plan.  Once You're Out Stay Out!
