Prior To Burning

All commercial/Residential Developers

must contact LHFD for a permit prior to burning.

Is Your Property
Accessible to Liberty Hill
Firefighters?

Fire trucks need a 10-foot-wide by 13.6-foot-high clearance to access your property. A smaller entrance means longer delays; and in case of fire or a medical emergency, any delay can mean the difference between life and death.

Permits and Code Enforcement

Through the Liberty Hill Fire Department's code enforcement and safety inspection programs, we strive to make our community a safer place to live, work and play.

On July 1, 2007, the Williamson County ESD No. 4 adopted the International Fire Code 2006. This Fire Code is applicable to all commercial buildings and businesses inside the ESD Fire District and the city limits of Liberty Hill through an interlocal agreement. With the adoption of the IFC 2006, all businesses are required to have anual inspections along with pre-fire plans. Any new constuction of commercial businesses inside the ESD shall be subject to plans reviews, certificate of occupancies, permits and fire codes (if applicable) regulated by the IFC 2006.

LHFD Prevention Division reviews plans for all new construction and remodels within our district in order to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. LHFD charges a fee for most plan reviews and inspections. Refer to our Fee Schedule to determine the appropriate fee.

LHFD reviews the following types of plans:

  • New Construction
  • Remodel/Repair
  • Lease Space Finish Out
  • Fire Sprinkler System Review
